Florida Business Consulting return from Chicago Business Conference with New Game Plan

This past weekend, Florida Business Consulting traveled to Chicago to attend a two-day business conference and Managing Director, Eric Martin has developed a new game plan following the event.

The Business Owners Summit was scheduled to bring together some of the top business owners from all over the US. The invite-only event was held at the 4 Star Sheraton Grand.

On Friday, March 23rd, delegates gathered in the Sheraton ballroom promenade at 11:15 a.m. for a buffet lunch before the meeting commenced at 12 p.m. Delegates were then divided into separate groups, with the first group comprising of business owners and the second of business owners with experience scaling a business and developing talent. Mr. Martin was in the second group, with the meeting taking place in the Chicago 10 suite. The objective of the meeting was to provide delegates with advice on taking their business to the next level. The itinerary saw seven guest speakers take to the stage. The speakers included award-winning figures within the sales and marketing industry.

The speakers covered many topics including implementing a daily & weekly schedule, creating a development factory, building more levels in an organization, maintaining standards, and weekly management of expansion teams/branches.

On day two, delegates were again divided into different sections, this time based on business size. With a market reach spanning seven states, Mr. Martin was in the third group in Sheraton Ballroom 1. Four guest speakers covered topics including; how to be a great example, recruiting talent, and pressing the reset button when necessary. The meeting closed with an extensive two hour Q&A session with two of the leading business owners within the industry.

The two-day event closed with a drinks reception, where attendees had the opportunity to socialize and forge new connections. Mr. Martin was especially inspired by the incredible two hour Q&A which provided the business owner with the inspiration to develop a new game plan for Q2.
