As a new start-up in Sheffield, Green Wave is delighted with the continued investment in the city, providing employment opportunities and bolstering the local economy.

Thanks to a partnership between the council and property firms, Sheffield is receiving massive investment, and the city is going from strength to strength.

The investment has seen online fashion retailer PrettyLittleThing, take one of the biggest warehouses in the UK, with the creation of 1,200 jobs. Other successful schemes include; the 437-bed Brass Founders student flats on Scotland Street, £65million New Era development of shops, apartments and offices off Bramall Lane, as well as HSBC moving its Sheffield staff to offices in phase one of the Heart of the City 2 project in Charter Square. Heart of the City 2 is the council's £500million mixed-use project set up with the objective to overhaul the middle of Sheffield.

As a new business in the city, outsourced sales and marketing specialists, Green Wave is applauding the continued development and is excited by the prospects. The redevelopment played a role in Green Waves’ decision to launch in Sheffield. Managing Director, Toby Wilkinson identified the cities potential. In 2008, the "UK Cities Monitor 2008" placed Sheffield among the top ten "best cities to locate a business today", and ten years later after a tumultuous time, the Steel City is going through a strong revival.

The city is home to two universities, the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University, attracting 65,000 students to the city every year. At Green Wave, they recognise that effective recruitment is pivotal to business success, and the firm is keen to attract the city's graduates to their firm.

“Effective recruitment is make or break for a business. Having a strong talent pool to select from is critical, and I believe Sheffield can offer that,” commented Mr Wilkinson.

With 8 in 10 companies failing in their first year, newly launched start-up Green Wave understand the odds are against them; however, they believe that the revival of Sheffield and the continued boost to the local economy will play a role in the firm's success.

Green Wave is a community of dedicated sales and marketing professionals; focused on securing wide, more engaged audiences for brands within the financial and charity sectors. They are delighted with the investment into the Steel City, and they are excited to operate in Sheffield.
