The best mentors don’t sugarcoat things; they tell it like it is. Mr Foster believes that if someone is going to find the perfect mentor, they have to be open to criticism. 'If you are going to progress, you have to be willing to accept criticism. The mentors who have helped me the most are completely honest and provide constructive criticism,' commented Mr Foster.

3. Make sure it’s a personality match
