BrieFix.com launches a new briefing tool for the graphic design marketplace

BrieFix (www.briefix.com) launches today a new application for graphic designers to get briefs from their clients, trying to solve the problem of inefficient or incomplete briefs designers are facing with, while facilitating the communication between the two parties.

A bunch of young entrepreneurs highly passionate about technology and graphic design noticed that design briefs raised some problems for clients who have to create them, and at the same time, for graphic designers having to work on the project. So, they started a survey among 200 graphic and web designers all over the world to confirm their hypothesis. The results of the survey were impressive: 97% of the responders consider the brief to be a vital element in the design process with huge impact on the final results, but only 10% of designers involved in the survey are satisfied with the briefs they receive from their clients.

“As an online entrepreneur I used to have this problem of creating briefs for design projects and designers kept telling me they need complete information about my business, about my objectives, about my needs, wants and likes. When I identified this briefing problem I had to validate it, so me and my team started a survey, or rather a customer development process” says Gino Ghioane, co-founder of BrieFix. “We had a solution in mind and once we confirmed the problem is a real one, we start developing BrieFix.”

They launched a new application which aims to solve this problem by aiding both participants: clients and designers. Clients that struggle with completing a brief are guided, instructed and inspired to supply all relevant information on the design task in a way that is fast and highly visual. Designers benefit from this by getting all the information they need to gain a complete picture and start working on the project, avoiding all that back and forth emailing and phone calls.
