BT Infinity to stream exclusive live gigs on YouTube
BT Infinity Presents “Live from the 34th Floor” – a series of gigs to be streamed in HD on the YouTube Masthead and BT Infinity Presents YouTube channel
Last night saw BT host the first in a series of “Live from the 34th Floor” gigs, live streamed to the YouTube masthead in HD. Conor Maynard was the first to perform in the series of three gigs, designed to drive awareness of BT Infinity and showcase the benefits of superfast broadband and how it can bring music fans closer to the action.
BT Infinity Presents will be taking over the YouTube homepage masthead for each day of the gigs, as well as streaming content via the dedicated BT Infinity Presents YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/btinfinitypresents
The campaign, which will see the gigs performed in front of intimate audiences of competition winners at the top of the BT Tower, has been designed to provide a truly interactive experience for those watching at home. The remaining live gigs with pop’s hottest acts will be on 10 December and 15 January with the talent to be announced shortly.
Ahead of each gig the public can ask questions via Twitter, with the artists answering their questions through videos posted on www.youtube.com/btinfinitypresents. During each gig viewers will also be able to engage with the artists and vote for an exclusive cover track to be performed at the end of the set.
David James, marketing director, BT Retail said, “BT Infinity Presents will demonstrate the potential of superfast fibre optic broadband to bring exciting, fully interactive and high definition online events into people’s homes. We’ve lined up three top music acts to kick off the series in the unique setting of the BT Tower, accessible to everybody online, but even better with BT Infinity.”
The creative execution of the campaign had been developed by advertising and brand management agency AMVBBDO. The partnership was identified and developed by media planning and buying agency Maxus. Love Live will produce and deliver all filmed and streamed content for the project, as well as curated and booked the live music talent and negotiated the artists’ appearances. The whole campaign is being amplified by Kazoo PR.
