BT staff gearing up for charity cycling challenge

A 40-strong team of keen cyclists from BT are using pedal power to raise money for charity.  Their cycling challenge will take them on a 30-mile round trip along the North Coast, starting and finishing at the Scenic Inn in Ballymoney on Thursday 28th June.

Local contractors, KNN Group, Morrow Contracts, Greentown TM/Environmental and M&M Contractors have sponsored the marathon ride - raising over £5,000.  Individual riders are also contributing to the cause, bringing the expected total to over £6,000.  All proceeds will go to Marie Curie.

Kevin Lyttle is a Network Planning and Design Manager for NI Networks – BT’s engineering division in Northern Ireland.  He says:  “It’s going to be an exhilarating cycle ride, past some amazing scenery along the beautiful North Coast.

“The view, together with the generous sponsorship from our local contractors, will keep us all focused during the three-hour ride.

“It’s great to be cycling alongside colleagues and friends, raising money for Marie Curie – a charity which touches so many lives, providing vital care and support for people living with a terminal illness. We want to do our bit to ensure that more people in Northern Ireland receive the end of life care that they need.”
