burgbad is expanding its popular Eqio series of bathroom furniture with stylish console solutions paired with ceramic countertop basins. The new, minimalistic and elegant look is perfected by a full-width handle option, two new finishes and a new round mirror, providing access to a series of on-trend features for contemporary bathroom design in the entry-level segment of burgbad’s top-quality furniture portfolio. Update: sets with an on-trend console solution in an attractive price segment with short delivery times

Developed in collaboration with Bielefeld-based studio nexus product design, the collection has been extended continuously since its launch in 2015 and meets high expectations with regard to customisability and functionality – with lots of well-organised storage space for utensils, toiletries and other items. Despite its lean and straightforward range structure, Eqio offers solutions in three washbasin materials (ceramic, mineral cast and glass) and all standard widths (approx. 600 to 1,200mm) in sets with vanity cabinets, which are available in either high gloss acrylic or melamine (new matt white or wood effects), as well as a versatile range of well-equipped cabinets, an open shelf element, mirrors and mirror cabinets.

Customers particularly appreciate the many standard features that come with Eqio, like the organiser system for the pullouts, the tilt-out laundry hamper or a matching fabric basket for the cabinet – things you would normally only expect from higher-priced ranges. Console solutions with new illuminated mirrors: an elegant play with geometric forms

The new console solutions expand Eqio’s creative scope with a very elegant vanity arrangement that occupies a special position on the market due to its entry-level price and rapid availability. Especially in combination with the new circular LED-illuminated mirrors (600mm diameter; 750mm and 900mm diameter with mirror heating), the console-based vanities create a consistent and stylish overall look that can either emphasise harmony with the round countertop basin or create an intriguing contrast with the rectangular model.

To match the new width option for double vanities provided by the console solutions, the mirror cabinets (with optional basin lighting) and rectangular mirrors are now also available with a width of 1,400mm. There are also two other new versions of the rectangular mirror that give customers the option between a top-mounted LED light or an integrated LED strip light with sensor switch, mirror heating, USB ports and a freely positionable phone holder.

Right on trend: console solutions turn the vanity into a stage

Console-based vanities meet the need for a cosy, homely bathroom design while nevertheless providing plenty of practical storage space. Besides emphasising the furniture-like character of the vanity, the attractive console countertops also provide spacious surfaces with more scope for displaying accessories and decorative items. In combination with an attractively shaped countertop basin, the vanity thus becomes a stage – a showcase for individual styling.

The console solution also extends the choice of widths available for the Eqio vanity sets (520/530, 620/630, 820/830, 920/930, 1,020/1,030 and 1,220/1,230mm in ceramic / mineral cast and glass) with the addition of an extra-wide vanity variant measuring 1,400mm. The sets featuring the console solution are available in six widths ranging from 600 to 1,400mm (600, 800, 900, 1,100, 1,200 and 1,400mm). As a result, the extra-wide vanity doesn’t just provide more space for its two users, it also ensures even more creative freedom for configuring Eqio’s new, asymmetric vanity layout.

Round and rectangular countertop basins for centred or asymmetric arrangements

burgbad offers the preconfigured console solutions with two beautiful, slenderly formed countertop basins in white ceramic: a perfectly round model for countertop and wall-mounted mixers (diameter: 360mm) and a rectangular model (width: 500mm, depth: 530mm) with an integrated ledge to accommodate the mixer. The basins can either be positioned on the countertop centrally or – in the case of the wider models – asymmetrically.

In order to permit an even wider range of combination options, the preconfigured sets can also be ordered without a basin cutout, making the Eqio console solution compatible with countertop basins from other manufacturers as well.

New, full-width profile handle emphasises the elegant simplicity of the design

A small difference with a big impact: the new profile handle that extends the full width of the pullouts emphasises the horizontal character that gives the vanity cabinets their special charm, especially in the case of the console solutions. What’s more, the continuous profile handle means added convenience because the hand can be placed anywhere to open the pullouts. Like all the Eqio handles, the new option is available in chrome and matt black.

The addition of two new finishes brings the total number of options available for the Eqio cabinet fronts to nine. The melamine fronts are now also available in matt white – a truly universal, timeless option that reflects the colour trend towards matt finishes. There’s a new wood-effect finish too: Silver oak, a particularly upmarket-looking variant reminiscent of naturally weathered oak that has turned grey with age. And of course Eqio is also available with melamine fronts in the following wood effects: Cashmere oak, Flanelle oak, Frassino cappuccino, Urban oak and a darker shade called Marone truffle. The high-gloss acrylic fronts are available in White high gloss and Grey high gloss.
