It's not often we're all in agreement on this council, but I was glad that the special council meeting we held to support the Fusiliers voted unanimously to campaign against plans to disband the 2nd Battalion.
The first person I want to say thanks to this week is Danny Boyle, our Freeman of the Borough, for that truly magnificent Olympics opening ceremony. I have written to him, but not had a response yet. I expect he's a bit busy.
