A chance to get involved in local business group

If you have an interest in the local business community and live in the Whitefield area then here’s your chance to get involved. The Whitefield Business Group will be meeting on Thursday 28 Feb, 5.30pm at Slattery.

Refreshments will be provided from 5pm. The group was established in October 2009 and consists of 30 members. The current group chair Alex Stacey is asking interested parties to become part of the group, to get involved and help make decisions. The group aims to promote the businesses, township and discuss real issues facing local businesses. Whitefield Business Group is responsible for initiatives such as Whitefield Halloween Festival (targeting anti-social behaviour), Love Whitefield Litter Campaign, and the re-surfacing of Hamilton Road Park to enable greater use of the park for activities and recreation.

The meeting on Thursday will see the appointment of a new chair, secretary and treasurer and set the aims and objectives for next 12 months.
