Another chance to save money on energy bills

Bury Council is once again urging local residents to sign up to the joint energy switching scheme to save money on gas and electricity bills.

Over 35,000 people across Manchester signed up to the first phase in January, 1,800 of them Bury
residents. A total saving of £3million was offered direct to the pockets of local residents.

Officers from Bury Council’s energy team met with 30 local landlords on 4 March, in a bid to get the message across about the savings which can be had. Sharon Hanbury who heads up the team said,
“The feedback was very positive and the landlords were very enthusiastic about the scheme and the benefits it could bring to their tenants – some even vowed to sign up themselves!”

The deadline to register is 8 April and the more households that sign up, the better the deal for everyone. It's a no obligation scheme and you don't have to switch once you get your offer for more info visit www.gmfairenergy.com
