Be Inspired – Be Active with the 365 Challenge

Keep the Olympic flames burning by signing up for new fitness challenge in 2013.

The 365 Challenge is part of Bury’s “Be Inspired Be Active” campaign to build a legacy from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Challenge involves jogging, running, walking, cycling, swimming and/or rowing 365km in 365 days, either as an individual or in a group.

It’s open to all members of the public, of all abilities, and what’s more – it’s free!

Residents can use their local gym, park or swimming pool to complete the challenge.

The deadline to sign up is Thursday 28 February. Every person and group who completes the challenge in 365 days from their starting date will be entered into a free prize draw.

To sign up for the Challenge, call Bury Sport and Physical Activity Service on 0161 253 5893 or email sports.development@bury.gov.uk

Participants will receive an information pack including an activity log sheet, a sample training schedule, and the rules. And if they keep the organisers informed of their regular progress, they can compete for the title of Challenger of the Month!
