Bury ranger service walks for May

Bury’s rangers are celebrating spring by leading two circular walks which co-incide with The Ramblers “Get Walking Week”.

The first walk is on Sunday 5 May, leaving Burrs Country Park from the chimney car park at 10.30am for Redisher Woods, returning at 4.30pm. The walk is approximately nine miles.

The second walk will be on Thursday 9 May leaving Nuttall Park in Ramsbottom at 10.30am for Scout Moor and returning by 5pm. The walk is approximately 11 miles and will involve climbing onto Scout Moor.

For both walks, a packed lunch, walking boots and warm/waterproof clothing are advised.
