Bury residents' chance to #talktotony

Press release -

Bury residents' chance to #talktotony

Bury residents have the chance to quiz Police and Crime Commissioner Tony Lloyd and Chief Constable Sir Peter Fahy in person on Tuesday 28 May.

The meeting takes place at 6.30pm in the Elizabethan Suite, Bury Town Hall, BL9 0SW.

This is the fifth of a series of meetings taking place throughout the year. More than 450 people turned out for the first meetings in Trafford, Salford, Wigan and Bolton, with hundreds more following the events online.

Tony said: “My job as Police and Crime Commissioner is to be an effective voice for the people of Greater Manchester and to do that I need to talk to as many people as possible to find out their views on policing and how they feel about their communities.  These public meetings are an opportunity for you to meet me and the Chief Constable, so we can have that conversation and work together to build the safest communities in Britain.”

Meetings will be held monthly in each local authority area of Greater Manchester throughout 2013 so that every resident has the chance to meet Tony and Sir Peter and have a say in policing and crime issues.

If you can’t make it to the meeting you can follow online at gmpcc.org.uk/talktotony or on Twitter using the hashtag #talktotony, where you can also submit a question.
