Cancer swim girl looks for sponsors

Radcliffe Pool is backing local girl Sarah Dennis in her bid to raise cash for Genesis Breast Cancer Prevention.

Sarah will use the pool to swim the equivalent length of theEnglish Channel, and is appealing for sponsorship for this good cause.

Singer Sarah (aged 44), from Radcliffe, started her quest to raise money because she lost a really good friend to breast cancer some years ago.

“My target is to raise £1,000 and so far I have raised nearly one third of that,” she said. “I have received a very warm welcome from all the staff at Radcliffe Pool, and I really appreciate them backing my campaign by letting me use the facilities for free. What I need is to find more sponsors to help me reach my goal.”

The Genesis appeal is the onlyUKcharity dedicated entirely to the prevention of breast cancer. Currently one in ten women in theUKwill develop breast cancer

To sponsor Sarah, go to her Just Giving Page at http://www.justgiving.com/sarah-dennis-swim or text MAUR50 and the amount you can afford to 70070.
