Christmas clean-up for Pimhole

Press release -

Christmas clean-up for Pimhole

17 people from North West Employers managed to remove a staggering 17 bags of waste in one hour from the area surrounding the new Pimhole housing estate on 17 December.

The pre-Christmas clean-up was organised by Councillor Trevor Holt who works with the organisation closely and holds them in very high regard he said; “Sarah called me and said that they wanted to do some hands on work within the community. I suggested a litter pick within the Pimhole area and they jumped at the chance. My wife made mince pies and shortbread as it was pretty miserable weather-wise and after all their hard work we dropped in at ADAB for a cup of tea”.

Everyone at North West Employers mucked in from the office junior right the way up to the Chief Executive. The team removed bottles, cans and general litter, items that normally blow around the streets. Sarah Farley Corporate Support Officer from North West Employers said; “Monday for us was a new experience and a great opportunity for our staff to pay back some time to a local community. It was amazing to see that such a small amount of time could make such a difference to the residents of Pimhole.”

Liz McQue, Chief Executive said;  “We had  great welcome from Cllr Holt who not only joined us on the litter pick but supplied home made mince pies”
