Have some fun on a fungal foray

A fungal foray has been arranged by the Friends of Redisher Wood Local Nature Reserve in Holcombe for Saturday 13 October.

Local expert David Winnard will lead the walk, which lasts from 2pm to 4pm and leaves from the Hare and Hounds pub onBolton Road West.

The Redisher Wood is a wonderful wooded valley below Holcombe Moor and is a great place to find mushrooms and toadstools.

The event is free, although walkers should wear suitable clothes and footwear as the paths can often be muddy and some gradients are steep.

For more details, call Paul Robinson on 0161 253 7668 or email p.v.robinson@bury.gov.uk
