Kick start a healthy 2013 with Saturday night badminton

Saturday Night badminton starts at 6 pm on 19 January and is an easy and cheap way to play badminton. Bring your friends or come alone, drop into Castle Leisure Centre and get playing against whoever else turns up. There will be someone there to greet you, but most importantly it’s about you having fun and giving it a go.

The session held at Castle Sports Centre aims to attract people who would like to play badminton but might not have a partner to play with or struggle to get on court on a regular basis. The session is a joint project between Bury Sport and Physical Activity service and Badminton England and aims to get local people back on court to enjoy the sport. Most of all the session aims to provide a fun and sociable badminton experience.

Badminton is an exciting and fast-paced sport that can be played by all ages and all abilities and has a great sociable atmosphere. Many people aren’t sure what to expect when they first step into a badminton session. This session allows you to give it a go, whatever your level or ability without the commitment of having to join a badminton club.

The session takes place every Saturday and costs just £2.50 per person.

For more information about this session please contact Castle Leisure Centre on 0161 253 6506 or email castle.leisure@bury.gov.uk
