Missing man wanted in connection with sex assault

Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace a missing mental health patient who is wanted in connection with a sexual assault.

Joshua Thompson (22/08/1990), went missing from Prestwich hospital on 27 December 2012, where he was admitted as a mental health patient.

He suffers from schizophrenia and does not have access to his medication.

Police also want to speak to him in connection with a sexual assault on a 19-year-old woman at a flat on Milnrow Road, Rochdale on the evening of 27 December 2012.

He is believed to be in the Rochdale area.

Members of the public, particularly women, are advised not to approach him.

Anyone who has seen Joshua or knows of his current whereabouts is asked to call police on 0161 856 4646, or 101.
