Planning, pavements and police!

A varied agenda awaits visitors to Bury West Township Forum, which meets on Wednesday 21 November 2012.

An update from the recent Highways Sub-Group meeting will be given, and council planners will present a revised draft of the Bury Core Strategy. This is a blueprint which will guide development across the borough for the next 15 years, and the public is being asked for comments by 30 November. Leaflets explaining how this affects your area can be taken away.

The meeting will also hear updates on crime and policing, as the Bury West PACT meetings for Elton and Church wards will now be combined with the area’s township forum meetings.

The forum meets atEltonPrimary School, and starts at 7pm. The usual open forum and public question time will be on the agenda in the second half of the meeting.
