Prestwich rock for Bury Hospice

Rock fans are invited to enjoy a Good Friday of music while raising money for a good cause.

More than 30 bands are expected to play the V-Prest festival in Prestwich on Friday 29 March. Now in its third year, the concerts have raised more than £6,000 for Bury Hospice, and organisers are hoping to do even better this year.

The bands will be playing two venues – the Longfield Suite and Riley’s – from 3pm until late. Among the headliners are acclaimed tribute bands The Smiths Ltd, Nearly Noel Gallagher, and Manc Floyd.

Tickets, in the form of wristbands, will be available on the day from the two venues, priced £5. Under-14s must be accompanied by an adult.

Any bands who want to get involved, or anyone who would like to donate raffle prizes, should call Al Thomas on 0161 253 7227.
