Record number of coaches visit Bury Market

Bury Market is breaking all records when it comes to attracting visitors from across the country.

Back in 2005, around 400 coaches made their way to the town’s award-winning market – but in 2012 that figure soared to 1,500, a new milestone and one which proves what a popular tourist destination the market is.

Andrew Heyes, Bury Markets manager, said: “Visits by coach companies have gone from strength to strength, and the support the market has received from coach companies and group organisers is fantastic. The market is ideally situated close to the motorway network, and we offer free coach parking and drivers’ lunch vouchers. It all helps to make a trip to Bury Market a great day out.”
