Wear a White Ribbon and make a difference

Men and women are being urged to wear a white ribbon and show their commitment to ending violence against women.

Ribbons are now on sale in public buildings across the borough, including libraries,BuryTown Hall, Six Town Housing, the Tourist Information Centre, Athenaeum House andKnowsley Place.

The White Ribbon Campaign is annual, global campaign and runs until 10 December which is International Human Rights Day.

Various community groups in Bury have been getting involved, from Redvales and Besses Children’s Centres, town hall staff andBuryCollegestudents.

All proceeds from the events and sale of ribbons will go to local charities supporting victims and children affected by violence.
