    ​Bury East councillor Trevor Holt, who has spent nearly half of his life as a councillor, serving the residents of Bury, is to be the 2019/20 Mayor of Bury. He is the second longest serving member of the council and was born and educated in East ward, which he has represented for 36 years since being elected in 1983.

  • Gas escape investigation at Bolton Road West

    Cadent Gas are investigating a gas escape at Bolton Road West and have located the leak. Repairs will be completed as quickly as possible but temporary 2-way traffic lights may still be in place on 25 February. If this is the case congestion is likely near to Roy Gardens/Woodhey High School. Please allow extra time for your journey.
