Green energy suppliers that offer business tariffs

A few months ago we listed a few energy suppliers in the UK offering business tariffs which are not the 'Big Six'. We mentioned the renewable energy provider Ecotricity as a token green supplier, however there are several other providers of renewable energy in the UK.

In recent months green energy providers have gained more press attention, such as Ecotricity stating they plan to undercut the Big Six or Good Energy announcing their 100,000th customer. However much of these stories have focused on domestic customers and may mean many facilities and operations managers are not aware of the green options available to their businesses. Whilst there are more options for households; businesses do still have low-carbon options available to them.

Ecotricity

We have mentioned Ecotricity before, and they are a green energy supplier which receive a fair amount of press attention. Alongside domestic energy they also provide a business tariff, assistance with building on-site wind energy, connecting new buildings to electricity and, for motorists, an electric highway for owners of electric cars.

Good Energy

The other big player in the green energy market, Good Energy, offers three business tariffs: one for small businesses and then two more for larger businesses. Their energy is 100% renewable and is the only company on this list to have their tariffs credited by the Green Energy Scheme.

Green Energy

Green Energy don't provide a set tariff and require businesses to contact them in order to obtain a quote. They also offer a service to connect up new homes and business premises as well as allowing small business to sell them energy through the Feed-in-Tariff.

LoCO2 Energy

LoCO2 energy offers two business tariffs - their 100% renewable Business Green tariff and their slightly cheaper Business Low-Carbon tariff. Alongside Good Energy, LoCO2 have attained Ethical Accreditation. For having chosen them as an energy supplier they offer free advertising options in their newsletters and discount on domestic prices for their clients' employees.
