North Tawton family fun day proves popular

North Tawton employer Vital Pet Trade Specialist – the UK’s leading pet product wholesaler – held a fun day at North Tawton Rugby Club on Saturday 21st July. A number of local businesses attended with trade stands and raffle and donations on the day raised £395. A donation of £145 was made to Devon Air Ambulance Trust and £250 went to the Rugby Club who asked that their amount was split equally with Tiverton Blue Cross Rehoming Centre who also attended on the day. The rehoming centre also benefited from some pet food and goodies from Vital.

Senior HR Manager at Vital, Manager Marie Betts, says she was delighted with how well the day went. “We had a number of staff attend and also lots of people from the local community, which was really great. The activities included bouncy castles, face painting and glitter tattoos – all for free. It was the perfect way for us to say thank you to people in the local community around our flagship depot and let them know about how we plan to grow and invest in the local economy in the future.”

The Vital group of companies also includes local confectionery company Bristows of Devon and there were plenty of sweet treats donated to the raffle.

The feedback was that people would love to see this become an annual event and Marie says Vital already have plans for next year. Anyone who is interested in booking a trade stand for next year, or finding out more about Vital can contact hr@vitalpetproducts.co.uk.
