QUALITY COFFEE BREAKS FOR NOTTINGHAM MOTORISTS AS COSTA OPENS ITS FIRST UK DRIVE THRU AT CASTLE MARINA

Costa Coffee today (Friday 27^th May) opened its first Drive Thru coffee shop in the UK at Nottingham’s Castle Marina Retail Park, promising to deliver great coffee for people ‘on the go’ in and around the city. 

Twenty jobs have been created at the new Drive Thru, which is the first of 6 planned across the UK that are due to open by the end of 2012.  The Drive Thru will offer seating inside and outside for customers, who can relax with a coffee and a delicious snack before continuing on their journey.  There will be seating for approximately 100 people and the store will be open from 5.30am – 9.00pm Monday to Saturday and7am–7.00am 9.00pm on Sundays.

Pritti Patel, from Nottingham, a Costa store manager with more than 6 years will manage the new Nottingham Drive Thru.  She said: “I’m really excited about the Drive Thru opening here in Nottingham. We are really proud to be the first Drive Thru for Costa opening in the UK and look forward being able to serve motorists great coffee and foodwhen they are having a break from their journeys.”

Neil Campbell, Regional Operations Director for Costa in the Midlands, said: “At Costa we are thrilled to be opening our first Drive Thru store in Nottingham, the ideal place to pilot what we are sure will be a popular way for people to get their favourite coffees.  As well as bringing new employment opportunities to the city, we feel this is a great opportunity to demonstrate the quality and passion that goes into every single cup of Costa’s coffee, all of which is hand-crafted by expert baristas. The Drive Thru will also offer people the chance to relax and enjoy a good cup of coffee before continuing with their journey.”
