PHOSPHATES 2012 International Conference & Exhibition

The fifth global gathering at the Phosphates International Conference & Exhibition will be taking place next March in Morocco, which is one of the key supply regions for the global phosphates market. This biennial conference, brings together senior industry professionals from across the entire spectrum of the phosphates supply chain and provides delegates with a unique opportunity to discuss the current and emerging issues facing the industry.

The event is the only global phosphates event bringing together a cross section of the fertilizer, industrial and feed phosphates markets.

The conference, which attracts over 350 senior executives from more than 40 countries will open its exhibition on 19 March 2012 and will deliver a three-day event offering an in-depth commercial programme and various networking opportunities. Taking place in El-Jadida, south of Casablanca, the conference will be situated nearby one of the largest phosphate chemical facilities in the world – Jorf Lasfar Chemical Facility. The OCP Group, the event’s host sponsor for 2012, will be offering delegates site visits to this facility and to the Khouribga Mine during the week of the conference.

The theme of the 2012 conference will be Maximising Phosphate Resources, a major area of concern for the phosphates industry as well as having wider implications for the fertilizer, industrial and feed industries. The programme will address the current and future projections for the phosphate rock, fertilizer, industrial and feed phosphates industries, as well as issues and challenges in these industries that affect the supply and demand dynamics.

Principal CRU Consultant, Ken Nyiri, who will be speaking at next year’s event commented “every market transaction has market risk associated with it, a reminder that both buyers and sellers need to keep informed.
