BAD SPORTS

Bad Sports are Texas boys Orville Neeley, Daniel Fried and Gregory Rutherford, and they been playing in the scene under Bad Sports since 2007. Heatwave has been fan number one of this punk rock trio since the very beginning and we are really excited to have them down finally at our launch party! They have a great discography but we know they are currently recording a new album so we are hoping we’ll get some copies down on the night!

RADIOACTIVITY

Radioactivity is a continuation of The Novice, Jeff Burke's band while living in Japan. Jeff has since moved back to Texas, and out of respect to the Japanese lineup of the band, has changed the name to Radioactivity. Jeff is one of the most distinctive songwriters in the punk rock underground, and his songs will sound instantly familiar to any fans of The Marked Men or Potential Johns. Band members include Jeff Burke, Mark Ryan, and Gregory Rutherford, whose credits read like an all-star lineup of Texas punk and garage rock royalty, including members of The Marked Men, Mind Spiders, Bad Sports, Wax Museums, The Reds, VIDEO, and The Novice.

BAD NERVES

Bold, bristling songwriting, the five-some deliver fearsome garage punk that is unafraid to delve into snappy pop elements. Matching that heads-down Ramones guitar chug to flamboyant T. Rex elements, new single 'Can't Be Mine' is out now on tastemaker label National Anthem. Set to be given a limited seven inch vinyl run, 'Can't Be Mine' is all torn denim and ripped up leather, rock 'n' roll mythology swallowed whole and barfed out on tape. Pared down, minimalist guitar music, it stomps into view, makes its point, and then leaves, flicking a few middle fingers at whoever passes by.

Ex-Auckland rockers The Cavemen have unleashed their latest album Nuke Earth, thirteen evil tracks of balls to the wall, in-your-face punk anthems. With an explosive sound recalling Crypt Records artists The Oblivians if they were doused with radioactive gunge, Nuke Earth starts out kicking ass and doesn't quit; insanely catchy guitar hooks, hyperactive drums, and animalistic yowls are all in effect. The Cavemen live in up on their '7 Day Weekend', spread the news that 'Elvis Is Alive', go 'Batshit Crazy' in the 'Concrete Town' and lots more. Like a gorilla in heat Nuke Earth is a rampaging beast of a record, the band have been tearing up stages throughout the US  Brazil, Mexico and EU recently, listen up below...

The Dirty Water Club started in October 1996 in the Tufnell Park neighbourhood of north London, at a venue called The Boston. The club's name is derived from The Standells' 1966 hit 'Dirty Water' which glorifies the US city of Boston, Massachusetts.

Past performers have included The White Stripes (voted by Q Magazine as one of the top 10 gigs of all time, Mojo one of the top 30 and Kerrang one of the top 100!), The Gories, Country Teasers, Black Lips, NOBUNNY, Kid Congo Powers, The Fleshtones, Billy Childish, Radio Birdman, The Dirtbombs, Thee Michelle Gun Elephant, The 5.6.7.8's, The Horrors and The Brian Jonestown Massacre to name just a few. The club has also seen some original '60s performers, such as The Monks, ? and the Mysterians, Kim Fowley, Sky Saxon, GONN, Michael Davis of the MC5 and more grace its stage.

Their in-house record label, Dirty Water Records, is one of the leading garage/beat/(real) R&B labels in the world.
