Claim of bribery
Today the Danish News Agency Ritzau announced that the Stralsund prosecution in Northern Germany, on the basis of a complaint received from a citizen, has initiated an investigation of a claim that DONG Energy should have offered bribe in connection with a power plant development project in Greifswald.
“It is an extremely serious accusation and DONG Energy take strong exception to corruption and bribery. We regard such methods as completely inconsistent with running a well-regulated and sound business. DONG Energy will initiate an internal investigation in order to clear this matter up as rapidly as possible.
It is crucial that this matter is thoroughly investigated and we will of course offer our full cooperation to the prosecution. In no way do we accept the use of bribery or any other inappropriate methods”, says CEO Anders Eldrup, DONG Energy.
DONG Energy has not received information from the prosecution regarding these claims.
