Easynet creates UK Centre of Excellence in Somerset
Award-winning global technology company Easynet is opening a new Centre of Excellence in Shepton Mallet, Somerset, UK creating around 70 jobs and providing a single support centre for its UK customers.
Easynet has been present in Shepton Mallet for 15 years, and will continue to draw on local skills and expertise to run this new centre which is of critical importance to its business. Its customers already make use of Easynet’s IT services – such as cloud computing and network management – to drive forward their organisations and solve specific business issues such as cost management and communication between offices.
The new service centre draws together all UK customer operations functions including sales support, billing and collections, service delivery and service assurance, and is also home to Easynet’s video conferencing operations centre. In addition local support functions will be increased in the centre.
The service centre will provide Easynet’s UK customers with a single, integrated customer service experience improving communication between employees and customers and increasing responsiveness to customer needs. Some overseas customers will also be managed from this centre, whilst the sales and commercial teams for Easynet’s enterprise customers will remain at its office in London.
Recently awarded European Service Provider of the Year over Microsoft and Amazon Web Services, Easynet has a reputation for providing outstanding customer service, a commitment which is shared by its employees. An exciting recruitment programme sees a number of technical and non-technical roles available to local applicants who demonstrate a ‘customer first’ attitude, including Technical Service Desk Team Leader, Sales Support Administrator, Senior Accounts Payable Co-ordinator, a number of engineering roles and many other vacancies.
