MKFC Helsinki College Trains NGO’s on ICT4D

On 3rd March, 2011, Education Finder owned MKFC Helsinki College in Collaboration with KEPA, Plan International (Finland) and Powwer ry conducted a one day workshop on how to integrated ICT into Development Projects. The workshop/training was held in Kepa, the umbrella organization for Finnish NGO’s.

Purpose and content of the training

The purpose of the one-day training was to increase knowledge and information on strategies that integrate the different information and communication technologies in development, especially in rural areas and poor communities. The workshop focused primarily on community development and change making solutions.

From the speakers, the participants heard about different tools, best practices and lessons learned; how to find innovative ways of taking advantage of the ICT tools available in order to overcome development challenges. During the group works the participants conducted information and communication analysis and brainstormed on different solutions that could benefit their projects.
