Press release -
Thea Maxfield to offer training and rehabilitation support for injured horses and riders
Dressage rider Thea Maxfield, whose rapid recovery from a broken neck recently received widespread coverage, has announced plans to offer training, with specific support for riders and horses recovering from injury. “Horses and riders require a sympathetic and supportive approach to return from an accident,” says Maxfield. “In recent weeks, I have heard from many riders who have suffered an injury and are desperate to ride again but need specific support and advice. I hope to be able to provide first-hand experience and empathy to deliver a step by step approach to enjoy riding once again.” Thea will host sessions at the fully-equipped Castle Grange Stud yard near Bicester as well as travelling to riders preferring to school at home. “I can empathise with riders looking to take the first steps back to recovery and this often happens in a secure and known environment.” A new website, www.theamaxfield.com provides an overview of the range of services including dressage schooling for younger riders and those aiming to improve their competitive performance. “From our own experience of breeding, training and competing horses, we can offer help for a wide range of abilities looking to get more from their horses,” concludes Maxfield.
