Creativity and colour give birth to 30 new elephants

Yesterday we ran a fun-packed family elephant painting day. Clear blue sky, bright sunshine and a great rural setting helped make it a special day for 30 people who came along to create their own design for their very own own 15cm Elephant Parade replica elephant, which had been flown in from Thailand. The children created bold designs that showed both confidence and imagination. The parents got well into their painting during the afternoon session and, for some, it ended up being a race against time to get their elephant creations finished.

At the end of the session, the 30 elephants were grouped together and everyone voted on their favourites. The winners received replicas of 'Tropic Feeling' and 'Bliss' - two Elephant Parade replicas from their international webshop.

At the end of a long day, everyone went home happy and inspired - accompanied by their own elephant in the room.

As part of our community investment programme, elephant communications will be making a donation to Elephant Parade, supporting their work in raising global awareness of the plight of the Asian elephant.
