Press release -

elephant communications to deliver big footprint with 22 new services

New PR consultancy elephant communications this week announces the launch of 22 new services that will focus on delivering fresh thinking for a changed world.

elephant communications is led by Guy Bellamy and Lindsay Marino, long-standing friends that have both worked in-house and agency-side and have joined forces once again to build a different kind of PR consultancy.Guy, who draws on 20 years experience advising major corporate and consumer brands commented: “The economic downturn has created a new playing field. Many in-house teams have to deliver more for less, the consumer mindset has changed as have their media habits. We are building a new kind of PR offer, based on innovative services that can be flexibly engaged. Our offer and way of working is purpose-built to help clients grow their brands in challenging times.”

The 22 new product services fall into four areas of expertise and follow extensive research the team has done among consumers, businesses and in-house PR teams. Lindsay adds: “Our services focus on the things that in house teams tell us are important, such as the generation of big ideas, tangible measurement, a stronger focus on creativity, breaking down media silos and delivering value for money. We are building a low-overhead business of senior people meaning will we aim to deliver clients a win-win: senior people for a great price.”

As part of its commitment to creating a PR offer based on authenticity, elephant communications will also be embarking on a four-prong community investment programme. In addition to giving 5% of profits to two causes it is supporting, the team will be launching a programme of creativity awards in schools and running quarterly free advice days for small businesses.

There has been broad-based positive reaction to and support for the elephant team and its distinctive offer from a range of industry sectors. Georgina Robertson at Schroders comments: “We invited elephant communications to support us following a very good experience working with Guy last year. We are very impressed with the ideas and initiatives from the elephant team and look forward to working with them this year." Juliet Strachan, Managing Director at HPI Research added: “Guy is that rare breed, a powerhouse of intelligent ideas, strategic thinking and creativity who has the art of getting to the heart of the matter, seemingly effortlessly.”

Ian Crowder at the AA also commented: “elephant: a perfect name for this new agency because for sure, it’s going to make big footprints in the future and indeed, is already making its mark.  Founder Guy Bellamy has an intellect as bright as the shirts he wears, brimming with ideas and supported by co-founder Lindsay Marino, who is an excellent campaigns director. The two are a perfect combination. What is particularly pleasing is knowing that fees are really put to work; support high ethical standards and are not lost in the overhead of a smart London office.  Elephant will go far and, it’s helping real elephants along the way.”

David Norman of TCF Investments said: “If you want your brand to stand out from the crowd - call Guy. If you want to be challenged into really understanding how your brand and communications can cut through - call Guy. If you want to be inspired, motivated, excited by someone who can make a difference call Guy. If you want dull, run of the mill, plodding - call someone else.”

The website and YouTube channel will be going live in April. To contact the elephant team or find out about its April ‘elephant in the room’ competition, email: info@elephantcommunications.co.uk or follow the elephant team on MyNewsDesk.
