An elephant never forgets

Colleagues past and present turned out in force at ellenor Dartford on Thursday 30 April to say a fond farewell to Play Therapist Glynis Petty.

For over 10 years Glynis has supported poorly and bereaved children, by giving them an opportunity to explore painful feelings and distressing or traumatic experiences through play.

Before she left to begin her well-deserved retirement, Glynis kindly gifted little wooden elephants to her colleagues so they "wouldn't forget her".

After a moving farewell speech from CEO Cardy, Glynis was surprised with a big cuddle from our new mascot Ellie the Elephant who delivered a leaving card and present.

Claire Cardy said: "We are indebted to Glynis for her years of dedication to ellenor and the families we support. We will certainly never forget her and we wish her all the best for her well-deserved retirement."
