Dying to know about your local hospice charity?

In association with national Dying Matters Week awareness week (May 18-24), ellenor is inviting all to attend Open Days at our Hospice in Gravesend.

Continuing with last year's theme of 'You Only Die Once' (#YODO), guests can discover more about ellenor, with staff from across the charity on hand to answer questions about the care we provide to families facing terminal illness.

This includes pain and symptom relief, end of life care, respite, bereavement support and emotional and spiritual care.

There will also be opportunities for people to find out more about our fundraising events and enjoy a free cuppa and cake.

Senior Staff Nurse Sarah Green, who is coordinating the Open Days, said: "We want to get as many people as possible thinking, talking and acting during Dying Matters Awareness Week. Many people are too afraid to talk about death and many do not fully understand about the care ellenor provides, so we hope the community will join us for a free cuppa and ask our friendly lots of questions."

We hope to see you at the Hospice in Coldharbour Road, Gravesend, DA11 7HQ on Thursday 21 May 2-9pm and Friday 22 May 9.30am-2.30pm.
