ellenor's Charity Hike: Awaken your sense of adventure with a hike to Peru

Set your sights on the summit and sign up for our 2022 trek to Machu Picchu. 2020 has been a challenging and difficult year for many, especially for patients and families who depend on hospice care and support. By taking part in this once in a lifetime bucket list experience, you will be helping to ensure that we can continue to provide the very best care and support to patients facing terminal illness, and their families, across Kent and Bexley.

Hiking the Salkantay Trail is an experience that will inspire excitement, nourish your soul and create memories that will last a lifetime. Your adventure will begin at the town of Cusco where you will spend two days at a community project, before setting off along the Salkantay Trail. Following the ancient and remote Inca footpath where snow-capped mountains collide with lush tropical rainforest, you will follow paths filled with exotic flora and fauna. The highlight of the trek will undoubtedly be ascending to the summit of Machu Picchu, one of the seven wonders of the new world.

Jemma Kemp, ellenor Senior Fundraising Officer says:“This trek is challenging and rewarding in every way possible and a trip that is on many traveller’s bucket list. We’ve had fantastic support from the community over the last year and we wanted to organise an exciting experience where our supporters could take on the challenge of raising money for ellenor whilst having the trip of a lifetime”.

Machu Picchu 2022 – Information Evening

Come along and find out more about our exciting expedition to Machu Picchu which will be taking place from 23 April – 2 May 2022.
