Join Ellie for her first Mini Marathon

ellenor’s mascot Ellie is calling children aged 5 – 16 years old to take to the tracks at the cyclopark in Gravesend for the best children’s Fun Run in town.

On Sunday 26 May children can walk, jog or run the 2.62km route. The Mini Marathoners will be sure to feel a huge sense of achievement when they receive their medal and certificate at the finish line.

Emma Bowles, ellenor Senior Events Fundraiser says: Ellie’s mini Marathon is an exciting new addition to our events calendar and promises to be a fun-filled challenge for local children, with their friends and families supporting them as they run in support of hospice care. We hope the local community will join us to establish Ellie’s Mini Marathon as a popular annual event. All those taking part will be raising money that will support ellenor’s vital work”.

Registration is £7.50 per child, which covers the cost of running the event so ellenor encourages children to raise as much sponsorship as they can. hopes that each child will raise a minimum of £30 in sponsorship to support the charity.

The Mini Marathon is fun because I am doing it to help other people. I think it’s important that people fundraise for ellenor because the money raised can help look after people when they are poorly, and buy the things they need – like beds, and baths!” Oliver, aged 6
