Press release -

England Women ease to Vitality IT20 victory in Worcester

England Women 151-4 beat South Africa 148-6 by six wickets

England Women won the second Vitality IT20 at Worcester to take a 12-2 lead in the multi-format series.

With Heather Knight nursing a hip injury, Nat Sciver took the reins. She won the toss and England's bowlers kept it tight to restrict South Africa to 148-6 on a good pitch.

Danni Wyatt and Sophia Dunkley continued their recent form of getting England off to a flier, and stand-in skipper Sciver added 47 - amidst a partnership of 56 with Amy Jones - to seal the win. Wyatt was awarded Player of the Match, on a day that she passed 2,000 IT20 runs.

During the game Katherine Brunt became England Women's highest-ever IT20 wicket-taker, taking her 103rd to surpass Anya Shrubsole, while 17-year-old Alice Capsey made her debut to become the 55th English woman to represent her country in IT20 cricket.
