Entanet hails success of partner Idea Network

Entanet, the leading channel-focused provider of wholesale communications and broadband services, is hailing the success of the Idea Network feature of its synergi partner portal. Launched in March 2011 to provide partners with a structured way to put forward suggestions about the further development of the company’s services, it has so far attracted over 100 submissions. Of these, 16 percent have already been implemented and a further third have been accepted for development with another 20 percent currently being considered.

Ideas that have come from the Idea Network include functional changes to the way that orders and top-up histories can be viewed within synergi, and the way in which resellers can ‘kick’ user sessions to check for faults.  Entanet also accelerated the provision of mobile access to synergi as a result of feedback from partners.  Additionally, more than 20 separate suggestions related to Entanet’s VoIP services are currently being developed and the company is also bringing forward other ideas, such as the ability to set up reverse DNS.

Partners are encouraged to put forward constructive ideas on synergi. They canalsovote to ‘like’ or ‘dislike’ suggestions from other Entanet partners; this gives Entanet an indication of which submissions to prioritise.   Over the past 12 months, in excess of 800 ‘votes’ have been cast. The Entanet marketing team reviews the submissions on a regular basis and updates the status of ideas onsynergi, sopartners can see how they are progressing.

While almost half the ideas relate to systems and processes, around 20 percent were made on broadband services and a similar proportion were specific to Entanet’s VoIP services. In total, around 40 percent of all the ideas put forward have been resolved, with only a few deemed to be unfeasible.

Darren Farnden, Head of Marketing at Entanet, has been pleased with the response. “We’ve always tried to listen and respond to our partners and I think that’s been one of the reasons we’ve been successful in building such a loyal customer base over the years. The Idea Network was started to give partners a simple way of making specific suggestions about our services and products – or indeed anything related to Entanet. It’s been really well-received and used. We’ve already made a number of changes and improvements to our systems and processes as a result of the ideas that have come to us via synergi. We’ve also adjusted some of our development priorities. Every supplier will tell you that they listen to their partners – through the Idea Network, our partners can actually see that we are not only listening but also acting on their input. “
