’Esvagt Connector’ joined the inauguration of the East Port

The first vessel standing out of the new Esbjerg East Port was ’Esvagt Connector’.

ESVAGT is strongly interested in expanding its business in wind energy, so it was very appropriate that ’Esvagt Connector’ and ’Esvagt Beta’ dropped by when Esbjerg inaugurated the new East Port.

The East Port has been built for present and future wind turbine industry and is a new harbour area of 650,000 sq m and a total of 1 km quay side. In other words, it is going to be an important part of the market area that ESVAGT will invest more work in, and therefore ESVAGT was represented at the inauguration among other shipping companies.

- ”Esvagt Connector” was ready when Johnny Søtrup, the mayor of Esbjerg, and Henrik Dam Kristensen, the then minister for transport, cut the ribbon, which was to mark the inauguration of the new East Port.

”Esvagt Connector” had the honour of hooting in celebration of the inauguration and was the first vessel to stand out of the harbour, says Anette Sørensen, managing assistant in ESVAGT.

After that 'Esvagt Beta' and 'Esvagt Connector' invited those on board who were interested in an open ship arrangement in the Dock Port.
