ESVAGT taking part in ”Havneliv” (Harbour Life)
The TV2 series on harbours in the TV station’s broadcast area focused on Esbjerg and ESVAGT.
In a series of programmes TV South has highlighted some of the many various jobs that are done in the harbours in the TV South broadcasting area. When in December they were going to focus on the Esbjerg harbour, TV South preferred to do this via ESVAGT.
The journalists were among others on board the crew change vessel “Esvagt Beta”, they surveyed training drills and interviewed Ole Ditlev Nielsen, Chief Commercial &Safety Officer, who told them about the history of the shipping company and the future plans and demonstrated the ESVAGT rescue vessels.
At the end of the episode the interviewer asked Ole Ditlev Nielsen if he ever gets tired of talking safety.
“No, for this is what we live from“.
”Not in the detail either?” the interviewer wanted to know.
”No for it’s the detail that makes the difference”, Ole Ditlev Nielsen answered.
