Press release -

“Group 3 vessel crews are highly demanded”

“When you sail on group 3 vessels, you gain masses of skills and seamanship. There is no dynamic positioning and so on; if you want to stay still, you have to hold on to the rudder. The small vessels aren’t fancy but the quality of them is enormous. You learn the trade from the bottom up.”

“Group 3 vessels have many varied tasks. The vessels are usually in the Danish sector and have many more tasks as standby vessel than those in the Norwegian sector, for example. You get to try many varied tasks, so you learn a great deal and develop.”

“When you have worked on group 3 vessels, you are much sought after! The other crews in the fleet know that on group 3 vessels you have learnt a lot, tried many tasks and worked hard every day. You know how important it is to be a good colleague – you have to be when there is so little space and so few crew members to do all the jobs that there are on the small vessels.”
