Press release -

Making a difference – every day!

In February 2015, in the middle of the night, we rescued a 40-year-old Scottish family-man from the Barents Sea, in the far north of Norway.

The letter that his wife and children later wrote to 'Esvagt Aurora', and to ESVAGT, is one of the finest I have read during my career. It is so compelling, that I still feel it physically every time I tell the story of this fantastic rescue operation.

That is why I work at ESVAGT! To make a difference and to be part of making sure, that it is safe and secure to work at sea. This is the terrific contribution made by the ’Esvagt Connector’, the ’Esvagt Aurora’ and most recently the ’Esvagt Cornelia’ over the past few years. Many other ESVAGT vessels and crews have also been doing this in an extremely professional manner since 1981.

Saving lives and making working-at-sea safer, is an utmost noble profession. We have even added new competences to our skill-set, so we are now an important partner in the transitioning process of harnessing green energy.

In other words, we can indeed be very proud to be part of ESVAGT!

Our company does something very special and each of us as employees, plays a most vital part in this special role. Many companies say that their employees are their most valuable resource – with us, there is no doubt at all that, this is true. We have all been specially chosen for what we can do and what we actually do – we are here for a reason, and that is to make a difference when it really counts.

Our competences are an integral part of the product that we deliver. Our fleet consists of vessels from a wide range of classes, sizes and types, but there is only one ESVAGT Standard. We are proficient seamen and highly skilled professionals.

We are also good colleagues for each other, and everyone contribute to a working environment that makes ESVAGT a unique place to work and a place where we all thrive. This is not something that just happens; it is something that we all actively choose to contribute to as individuals. I am proud to work in an organization where part of the culture and company-spirit, is to look after each other and make sure that everyone comes home from work safely.

This is how I experience MY ESVAGT.

I hope that all of you agree – this is how we will hold on to, and further develop, OUR ESVAGT.
