Press release -

New plant-based Oumph! dish at Busaba

Busaba adds a new plant-based Oumph! dish to their permanent menu, starting today 12th of February.

The Vegan Weeping Tiger Jay is a marinated triple cooked Oumph! in a dark soya and ginger sauce with green beans, spring onion, Chinese chives and red chilli.

"I am delighted that Busaba now feature two Oumph! dishes on their menu, it is fantastic news that such an exciting restaurant group like Busaba are catering to the ever-increasing number of vegetarians, vegans and flexitarians by creating delicious dishes with Oumph!", says Dave Smith, Head of UK Foodservice at Oumph! and Food for Progress.

Terry Harrison, Managing Director from Busaba comments:

"The Vegan Weeping Tiger Jay is the second Oumph! dish on our menu. We launched the popular plant-based version of our signature dish Thai Soyamari last year, and it was an instant success with our regular guests. Oumph! is an amazing soya meat replacement that is versatile and works very well for creating delicious dishes".

Chef Pui from Busaba is cooking the Soyamari at the Oumph! Show Kitchen at Vegan Life Live, Saturday 9 March, at Alexandra Palace. Vegan Life Live is 9-10 March. Look here for tickets and full programme.
