Fred. Olsen Launches 2010 Preview Brochure Of Cruises For Summer & Autumn

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has launched a Preview brochure detailing the summer and autumn 2010 cruise programme for its fleet of four ships – Balmoral, Boudicca, Braemar and Black Watch.  This brochure allows customers to book early and take advantage of preferential rates, while ensuring the cruise and cabin of their choice.

In line with Fred. Olsen’s policy of using regional ports around the UK, there are ex-UK cruises from Dover, Southampton and the northern ports of Liverpool, Newcastle, Greenock (Glasgow) and – for the first time – Rosyth (Edinburgh).  Destinations include the Eastern and Western Mediterranean, Canary Islands, Adriatic, Norway, the Baltic, the North Cape, Iceland and Round Britain, as well as a selection of mini cruises.

Balmoral and Braemar will operate their summer cruise programme from Dover, while Black Watch cruises from Southampton.  Her sister ship  Boudicca, operates from the northern ports, beginning her ex-Liverpool season in late March, with cruises to the Canaries, Mediterranean, Norway and the Baltic, then repositioning to Greenock in June, with cruise to the Canaries, Italy and Norway.  She moves to Rosyth (a first time port for the cruise line) in July, with cruises north to Spitsbergen, the Baltic and Norway and moves south to Newcastle (Port of Tyne) in August for cruises to the North Cape and Scandinavia, Baltic, Norway and Round Britain, before retuning to Southampton in October.

The brochure also features cruises with Fred. Olsen’s Civilisations, a cultural add-on package focusing on a wide variety of topics, with expert lecturers on board offering a programme of talks and exclusive shore excursions.  Civilisations cruises include Braemar’s Italy cruise - M1022 - of 16 nights, departing 6th September, which has a theme of “Imperial Rome”, and Black Watch’s Baltic cruise W1008 – 8th June for 14 nights – with a theme of “Baltic Monarchies”. (Prices for Civilisations TBC)
