The Power To Help... Stop Disability Hate Crime

Disability Hate Crime is often seen as anti-social behaviour, committed by youths in hoodies around the corner. Not only is this how society accepts it, it’s also how the Police and the Legal system see it. Think about it, taking a trolley and pushing it around the town centre is seen as equal to torturing, tormenting and traumatising another human being just because they are different. Disability Hate Crime is not Anti-Social Behaviour, it is Hate Crime.

To spread this message and to learn the lessons of Disability Hate Crime, Gallant2000 in association with the West Midlands Police are holding a conference on the 14^th September. The conference will gather as many people as possible to discuss issues on Disability Hate Crime, like “What can be done to Stop Disability Hate Crime” and “Hate Crime in the 21^st Century”.
