Go North East has today launched the region’s first fully-electric bus fleet in the North East, which are capable of all-day service with a single overnight charge, supporting the company’s commitment to improve air quality.
Go North East team members will be switching up their uniform again this week, this time for Football Shirt Friday to help raise funds for charity.

Team members from across the region’s largest bus company, Go North East, switched up their usual uniform for fancy dress and yellow clothing on Friday to raise money for BBC’s Children in Need.
Today, Monday 16th November, is Transport Planning Day and Go North East is celebrating the hard work that goes on behind the scenes from its network planning and scheduling team.
Go North East, the region’s largest bus operator, will be recognising Remembrance Sunday, the 8th November, by proudly showing support for all who have served, sacrificed and changed our world with its branded ‘Poppy Bus’, as well as raising money across its depots for the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.
Almost all our services are running to their normal timetables, so we’re here when you need us during the national lockdown. However, we are making minor changes to a small number of evening and seasonal services which are not required during the lockdown.
The upgraded double-deck buses will help increase seated capacity on the services by 77%, and passengers can charge into town with free Wi-Fi and USB charging points at every seat.

Today (4th November), on ‘This Is Engineering Day’, Go North East is celebrating its award-winning engineering team that help keep the wheels moving on its 650-strong fleet of buses.
