The region’s largest bus operator, Go North East, is now working in partnership with Newcastle GP Services (NGPS) – the GP Federation for Newcastle – Newcastle City Council and community and voluntary sector partners to provide an outreach vaccination bus in the city.
The region’s biggest bus company, Go North East, is putting its full support behind a charitable-initiative led by regional hospice St Oswald’s, by placing a dog designed by British actress, Joanna Lumley on its Great North Snowdogs trail.
Go North East, has signed RNIB’s (Royal National Institute of Blind People) Accessibility Charter. Its drivers are undertaking special training so they can better understand the challenges blind and partially sighted passengers face when using the bus in some ‘Swap with Me’ events.
