  • Service update from southern and advice for tomorrow

    So far, over 87% of services operating today on the strike-affected Southern network have run to time. Southern will be returning to its normal timetable tomorrow (Wednesday) but some services may run with fewer carriages than normal because trains will be out of their normal position because of today’s strike.

  • GTR strike update

    Strike action is continuing across the Southern Railway network today, but services are largely running to the revised strike day timetable. Disruption will continue all day today and is likely to affect some early morning services on Wednesday 22 June.

    Staff from Thameslink have been helping unemployed locals in Luton to help turn their lives around. Working with charity NOAH Enterprise, teams from across the network have gone out of their way to help to give others a new perspective on life, helping them into work.

    For the safety and comfort of passengers using Thameslink, Southern and Gatwick Express services the weekend of this BHF London to Brighton bike ride, there will be cycle restrictions in place.

  • GTR improves station modernisation plans after consultation

    GTR has improved its station modernisation plans following discussions with the two rail consumer groups Transport Focus and London TravelWatch, and feedback from passengers during a public consultation. Both consumer groups have welcomed the changes.

  • Double celebration at Hassocks station

    Southern recently invited members of the community to join them at Hassocks railway station to see the return of the old signal box clock and to celebrate its recent success at two national railway awards.
